Justice
Justice is the cornerstone of democracy. The judicial branch serves as an important check and balance on the legislative and executive branches of our government. We must trust our court system to apply the law fairly and efficiently.

When you have a matter before a judge, you shouldn't have to worry that their political leanings will influence the outcome of your case. Your political party, religion, ethnic background, gender identity, socioeconomic status, and intersectionalities absolutely must not play a part in how the judge rules.

Julie is also concerned with Attorney Client relationships and is deeply committed to legal ethics. When the relationship between attorney and clients erodes, or unethical behaviors occur, these present a power imbalance and threaten the effective administration of justice. Julie served as Secretary for many years of the New York State Bar's Professional Disciplinary Committee and has been an arbitrator for well over a decade with the Part 137 Attorney Client Fee Dispute Resolution program in Queens Civil Court.
Both attorneys and their clients are entitled to respect and the fair administration of justice. Many attorneys as well as private citizens have shared with Julie their frustrations with the judicial system. It's disheartening to hear how many people feel they have been denied justice. Now is the time to make crucial changes to restore our faith in the
courts.
