I have been checking my web analytics to see where folks are finding me, and it’s very frustrating to see untrue information being posted about me. I am hoping voters will do their due diligence and not rely solely upon political smears.
I saw some of you have found me through Branch Vote, and I was pleasantly surprised at the amount of research they put in to write up the candidates. However, under the ethics section, they brought up the allegations from a political hit piece done on me last year. They seemed to couch it in fair enough terminology, but they falsely wrote that I called for banning LGBTQ books, and this is patently false. From Branch Vote:

I have submitted a request to have that language changed because it is categorically false. Never have I called for banning LGBTQ books! I can’t say that enough - as a proud Rainbow Mom 🌈 and a former teacher who was awarded a badge to wear by the students in the LGBTQ club as one of only a handful of safe adults to go to in the school building.
Here is the Tweet that’s causing all the ruckus:

I responded to a thread about this picture from a book that was in an elementary school library. It depicts a child giving oral sex to an adult male. Here’s what I posted:

I hope this clears up the controversy. If not, then I don’t need a vote from a pedophilia enabler. I am a fierce protector of children and will never tolerate grooming or otherwise harming them. #Julie4Judge
